Interior
The main direction for the project is to design a platform that can bridge the elderly people to have community engagement, to rebuild their values, and to promote their mental health.
In this design, it is important for aged users to be able to build a pleasant community, includes elements to allow the users to feel the belongingness that forms social relationships with each other within the facility and to interact with the wider community in Brisbane. The purpose of this project is to design a community space that would appeal to elderly residents. This project intends to propose a new design for a senior community center so that it can also cater to the needs of aging people. It would also need to be able to enhance the social wellbeing and allow users to feel welcomed and accepted within the context of the community.
“Hutong” represents a sense of community, multigenerational support, and familial bonds. Also, it adopted a flexible approach, retaining memories of the site, and keeping the dynamics of the city and the street. For this project, it delivers life values and an organizational model of a classic rural village. Rethinking the boundaries and expanding the possibilities of the forgotten architecture.
Caitlin believes that interiors are an insight into our brains. It is a collaboration of design, art, humor, functionality, and the street. Keep strong and always interior.
